Long Island Gallery open in Islip, NY
Introducing Eddie Mooney a Long Island photographer. He recently opened his home gallery in Islip, NY.
Ed’s been taking photos for over 25 years but didn’t begin to share them with the public until 2002. He spent his very early years in Brooklyn and has a true love for the city. The rest of his life has been spent on the beautiful south shore of Long Island. He’s lived in Islip for over 20 years. His love of the water and exceptional eyes help capture some breath taking moments. He feels his dyslexia helps him see things in a different light then many people.
He’s captured some great shots from around the Northeast coast. He takes the time to study what he sees in the image. He not only pull out colors from the image into the double/triple matting, but goes all the way out to the frame to give a finished reflection. He thinks of them as moments in time.
He’s a member of the Montauk Art Association and Islip’s Chamber of Commerce.
He’s got some great photos of Montauk, Montauk Lighthouse, the Fire Island Lighthouse, the Brooklyn Bridge, boats, flowers, sunrises and sunsets.
You can see his work exhibited in several galleries on Long Island and also at the Fire Island, Montauk Point and Horton Lighthouses.
He’s published his first coloring book. It has replications of 32 of his photos, text to describe the scenes, and 8 Postcards. You can see a preview of the coloring book on his website. Please visit his website to view some of his work- http://www.edwardmooneyphotography.com/
